St. Martins Youth Formation and Youth Group focuses Christian, spiritual, social/emotional learning. We encourage service to the church and community and asking questions. We are biblically based, include Native American Wisdom and talk about the Saints and church theology and calendar. We focus on Liberation Theology, such as Howard Therman. We are tailored for Neurodivergent (ADHD, Autism Spectrum, Dyslexia, Neurosensory sensitivities, etc.) kids and adults. We have a Decon and teachers trained on working with Neurodivergent and LBTQIA individuals. We are LBTQIA affirming, and teach about spiritual and Civil Rights leaders like Pauli Murray. We have found by creating an environment that is welcoming we also meet all the needs of our neurotypical youth. We teach how to be inclusive take care of ourselves and our families.
This youth formation term we will study the bible, make fun videos, introductions to the Native American Flute and drums, capture St. Martin’s church history, and to serve the church and our community.
We understand the challenges of a busy life supporting our youth and often schedule around soccer matches, cheerleading competitions, orchestra preferences, practices and our work schedules.
